STEM Racing Germany – Regional Championship
STEM covers the school subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It aims to inspire pupils to pursue knowledge and innovation, to actively shape the future and to explore possible career paths. The world’s largest international STEM competition is once again stopping in Wismar: STEM Racing Germany has been a regular guest at the phanTECHNIKUM for many years and is hosting the Regional Championship Germany – East. Young talents aged 11 to 19 run their own small racing teams and take on the roles of engineers and marketing specialists of tomorrow.
STEM Racing is the largest international and multidisciplinary STEM competition and takes place in 75 countries worldwide. Germany has been participating for 20 years and is among the most successful nations internationally. In addition to three world championship titles (2015, 2023 and 2024) and several runner-up finishes (most recently in 2024 and 2025), the Regional Championship Germany – East marks the final stage of qualification for the German Championship 2026.
In addition to designing and racing their model cars, teams must produce portfolios, deliver presentations and develop a team exhibition stand. All these elements will be assessed by a jury at the phanTECHNIKUM on 14 March 2026 and combined into an overall result.
The event is open to the public.
Admission is free – donations are welcome.
No prior registration is required.
