From Lilienthal to the Rocket

Space – the longing for the stars and distant planets has accompanied humankind since time immemorial and has lost none of its fascination over the millennia. Our current special exhibition, "INNOspaceEXPO", focuses on major innovations in aerospace technology that we now use more or less regularly in everyday life. We take you on a journey through the history of modern space travel, illustrating key stages of aviation and space history through our exhibits.

As a special highlight, we demonstrate how a rocket engine works and give you the opportunity, weather permitting, to launch rockets yourself in our backyard.

During the school holidays, phanTECHNIKUM offers a colourful programme. With our current special exhibition, "INNOspaceEXPO", we welcome you to exciting special events focused on aviation and space travel. Let your creativity run free in our exclusive 3D workshop, or follow the development from the Lilienthal glider to the rocket. Of course, our museum laboratory will also be open again for exciting demonstrations with experiments centred around the element FIRE.
