International Museum Day

Under the motto “Museums uniting in a divided world”, which was proclaimed for 2026 by International Council of Museums (ICOM), we are also taking part in this special day of action. The Deutscher Museumsbund complements the International Museum Day in Germany with the guiding theme “Discover Museums.”

See it as both an invitation and a call to action to discover the phanTECHNIKUM on 17 May 2026 and to engage in conversation and exchange. By exploring regional technological milestones, it is always fascinating to trace and better understand global processes of development.

And since it has become a cherished tradition, there will once again be no mandatory admission fee on this day. Our exhibition can be visited on a donation basis, and during a public guided tour you will also have the opportunity to learn exciting background stories and insights.

Public Tour at 11:00 AM
Discover our exhibition in an overview tour for a special price of €1 per person (plus admission for women and girls). The tour starts at 11:00 AM and lasts approximately one hour.

Cost: €1 per person (plus admission)

Places are limited, so it’s best to book in advance: buchen@phantechnikum.de
