Day of the female & male inventors

The Day of Inventors traditionally takes place in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on November 9th. At phanTECHNIKUM, with its focus on the history of technology and innovation, we naturally join in. With a wide range of workshops and an informative program, we form the basis for a creative environment in which ideas can grow and create space for an exchange about technical achievements and the importance of innovations for our common future.

3D printing workshop

In our current special exhibition, we are showing you folding boats as a prime example of consumer goods production in Wismar since 1954. In our workshop, you can now become inventors yourself and create a boat hull according to your own ideas. We will accompany you from the first sketch to the finished model in our museum workshop. In the end, the question is: Which model floats best and which has the highest load-bearing capacity?
