Reading at the phanTECHNIKUM: “The sun doesn't always shine on construction”

Willy Rubey humorously recounts his experiences building a house in the GDR. In his book, he talks about challenges with authorities, banks and material procurement - and how he used his ingenuity and sense of adventure to turn a dilapidated ruin on the island of Poel into a home for his family.

Admission costs 5 euros, in aid of the Association of the Technical State Museum. Enjoy freshly baked cake and coffee. Free parking is available.
