The summer vacations are just around the corner and we cordially invite you to discover our exciting summer program at phanTECHNIKUM. Our vacation calendar is packed for you with a wide range of opportunities. You can look forward to fascinating guided tours through our exhibitions and experience science up close in our laboratory demonstrations. We also offer our special guided tours “Women in Technology” and “Legends of Fabric & Steel”. And, of course, we are also opening our museum workshop again and inviting you to take part in exciting workshops on modeling and 3D printing. Immerse yourself in the world of technological history and science and be inspired by our wide range of activities. We look forward to your visit!

 

 

Special tour “Women in technology”

For a long time, the history of technology was almost exclusively shaped by male names - but behind many inventions and innovations there were also women: clever minds, creative inventors and pioneering engineers whose contributions often remained in the shadows. The special tour “Women in Technology” shines a light on precisely these pioneering women. From the first computer programmer Ada Lovelace to the inventor of the wireless communication system Hedy Lamarr and today's female engineers - we show how women have helped shape technical developments and continue to do so. A journey of discovery through an often overlooked but significant page in the history of technology.
