Every first Tuesday of the month: SILENT MUSEUM
Are you interested in our museum, and do you love lingering in front of exhibits and taking everything in at your own pace? But sometimes the hustle and bustle, the noise and the lighting are simply too much? With the SILENT MUSEUM, we want to offer you a low-stimulus, stress-reduced museum experience – for everyone who prefers to explore in peace and quiet!
Every first Tuesday of the month between 3 and 5 pm, we reduce the visual and acoustic stimuli in the museum to a minimum. There is dimmed lighting, no loudspeakers and reduced background noise, a calm atmosphere and no noisy interactive stations. In addition, no guided tours, workshops or group visits take place during this time.
We are focusing the museum visit on what matters most – our exhibition and you! That is why this experience is also particularly suitable for highly sensitive people, people on the autism spectrum, and people with migraine, epilepsy or ADHD, who otherwise find the sensory overload overwhelming or even painful.
The "Silent Museum" project is funded by the Participation Fund (Teilhabefonds) of Kultur Land MV, part of the Ministry for Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
