INNOspaceEXPO “ALL.täglich!
From Space for Life on Earth
With the INNOspaceEXPO “ALL.täglich!”, the German Space Agency presents an exhibition at the phanTECHNIKUM that brings the innovation and transfer potential of space exploration into public focus. Research for spaceflight and research conducted in space are key drivers of innovation, opening up a wide range of new perspectives that directly benefit life on Earth and influence all of our lives.
Many innovations that people rely on today originated in space and space-related research. Velcro fasteners, personalised varifocal lenses, daily weather forecasts, live television broadcasts or navigation systems are just a few examples of technologies that are now part of everyday life but would not exist without space exploration itself or research under space conditions (for example aboard the International Space Station, ISS).
Such transfer potentials affect essential areas of daily life: medicine, mechanical engineering, safety, energy, agriculture, food technology, mobility and transport. The INNOspace initiative, launched in 2013 by the German Space Agency at DLR, promotes cross-industry knowledge and technology transfer and supports space sector stakeholders in meeting the challenges of the NewSpace economy.
An exhibition in cooperation with the German Space Agency at DLR.
